Devamrut Dimida is an insecticide made from Imidacloprid 17.8% SL, and it acts through both contact and systemic action. It belongs to the neonicotinoid group of decentralized insecticides and is designed to control a wide range of pests.
Its mode of action targets the central nervous system of insects, where it causes an irreversible blockage of post-synaptic nicotinic acetylcholine receptors, ultimately leading to the death of the insect.
It can be used as a systemic synthetic pyrethroid insecticide for controlling various sap-sucking pests on crops, such as aphids, jassids, thrips, and whiteflies.
